Established in 1943, the company is a Sino-Foreign joint venture, whose predecessor was Tiantai gourmet powder factory. In 1966, it was renamed as “Guangzhou gourmet powder factory”. On September 1, 1995, Guangzhou gourmet powder factory and France Orsan Co., Ltd., a strong producer of gourmet powder in the world at that time co-established a joint venture, Guangzhou Orsan Gourmet Powder Co., Ltd. Occupying 27,400 ㎡, the company is the largest gourmet powder production enterprise in the South China.

　　The company’s main product “Shuangqiao” gourmet powder has been honored as a “famous brand of China” for two years in succession. Recently, it has released condiments such as chicken powder, chicken essence, chicken sauce, chicken flavor, chicken fresh powder, malt, Orsan gourmet powder and Shuangqiao cornstarch.

　　Over the years, “Shuangqiao” gourmet powder has won the favor of customers for its excellent quality and service and remains best-selling and secures a stable growth in the fierce market competition. In 1983, “Shuangqiao” gourmet powder won a national silver prize. In 1988, it won a national gold medal. In 1990, Guangzhou gourmet powder factory was honored as a national first-class enterprise. In the same year, it won a national “May 1” labor certificate of merit. On September 26, 1993, Jiang Zemin, then the secretary general of the CPC, paid an inspection trip to the factory, fully recognized the achievements made by the enterprise in terms of reform and management and was glad to make an inscription of “Seeking Perfection” as encouragement. It was honored as an advanced technology based enterprise invested by foreign investors in 2001 and 2005. Besides, focusing on environment protection has made the company become one of the first environmentally qualified enterprises in the national gourmet powder industry. It also won the titles of a “vanguard enterprise in the gourmet powder industry of China in 2006” and an “exemplary enterprise for the recycling economy of national fermentation industry”.
